As another month comes to a close, we love taking time to reflect on all the fun activities, trips, and achievements we’ve shared. March has been wonderfully busy, and we’ve certainly enjoyed the sunshine making a welcome appearance!

Karaoke sessions have continued to be a big hit, with everyone loving the chance to sing and perform their favourite songs. A special shoutout goes to Becky, our Singing Superstar this month, who has grown in confidence and truly has a beautiful voice.

Making the most of the sunny weather, some of our members enjoyed a lovely trip to Mottisfont, where they explored the outdoor spaces and admired the stunning gardens. The brighter days have also meant plenty of country walks and park visits, which everyone has thoroughly enjoyed.

Our sensory garden is coming along beautifully. Phoebe and her fantastic team of budding landscapers have been hard at work washing, planting, and clearing. We’re all very excited for the official opening in early summer!

We also celebrated World Book Day by reading stories together, with many members dressing up as their favourite characters—it was wonderful to see so much creativity and enthusiasm.

Friday cooking sessions have continued to be a highlight. Head Chef Wendy and her talented team of sous chefs have been cooking up a storm each week. Dishes have included Mexican-style vegetarian tacos with fruit kebabs, a beautifully presented afternoon tea, and a delicious Italian carbonara. Everyone works incredibly hard preparing the ingredients and bringing the meals together, and we love sitting down to dine as a group to celebrate their efforts.

This month, we were delighted to welcome our friends from Sparsholt College to our Andover location. Some of the students led an amazing dance session, and by the end, everyone had learned a new routine. It was a truly joyful experience, full of creativity, confidence, and plenty of smiles—there was even a dance-off or two! We’re excited to continue this collaboration and see what else we can achieve together.

We’ve also enjoyed visiting our friends across other JP locations, including a trip to our newest site at Reading West. It’s a beautiful space, and we’re looking forward to watching it grow over the coming months.

Creativity has been in full flow as we celebrated the Holi Festival of Colour, producing some fantastic artwork while experimenting with new materials and techniques. Other themes we explored this month included love and appreciation, the human body, St Patrick’s Day, and welcoming spring.

Each year, we are proud to donate Easter eggs to Andover Food Bank, and it’s always a wonderful example of community spirit. Our members love collecting and delivering the eggs, helping to bring a little extra joy to families at Easter.

We have so many exciting things coming up in April, including a couple of fantastic parties! At the start of the month, we’ll be hosting our annual Easter party, and later on, we’re planning a ‘Decades’ party where members can dress up in outfits from their favourite era. We can’t wait for even more sunshine so we can make the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces.
